Organizational Reporting Line: University President.
General Objective: The Council considers the Administration's technical, technological, and administrative matters without prejudice to the regulations governing deanship councils.
Council Members: The Board is chaired by the General Supervisor of Information Technology. Membership includes:
- The Vice Dean of the Deanship of Information Technology
- The directors of the deanship's departments
- Two or Three IT Experts, from inside or outside of the University.
Tasks:
Tasks of the Council:
- Propose or amend NBU IT policies and follow up on implementation.
- Propose or amend internal regulations governing the Administration's work in line with best practices.
- Review periodic reports by the administration's office, departments and units, and issue the necessary information.
- Review and approve the administration's annual report and submit it to the relevant authority.
- Set executive procedures to digital transformation performance indicators and metrics in lined with references approved by relevant authorities.
- Approve feasibility studies and scope of work for digital transformation projects prepared by the Project Management office.
- Approve minutes of the technical committees for digital transformation projects.
- Review and approve financial claims for digital transformation projects submitted by the administrative and financial affairs department.
- Propose community partnership plans in coordination with relevant internal and external entities.
- Review files of technical or administrative human resources and take appropriate decisions.
- Propose developmental plans for the University's technical infrastructure in accordance with best practices and expenditure efficiency objectives.
- Decide on technical matters within its remit and refer other matters to University Council.
- Consider matters referred by the University Council or its president for study and opinion.
